Ready? Set? Play that song!

FEBRUARY 8: ACTS OF KINDNESS

Perform a random act of kindness together for a friend, family member, a non-profit organization or a stranger. Buy their groceries, buy them flower, go for a walk with them, give them a call, write them a letter, send them a card, donate or do whatever is on your heart to do.

Don’t worry, Tai and Talaat have great advice and videos on their website, His and Her Money. Talking about money is extremely important. It is definitely a big factor when considering the budget for your wedding. Talk about money!

FEBRUARY 11: FINANCIAL PLANNING

How prepared are you for your future as a couple? Some people are not comfortable talking about the future or money. Understandable. But it is important to begin having these discussions. Start with tips about budgeting and saving money from Tiffany Aliche, The Budgetnista or tips about investing from Dominique Broadway from Finances Demystified.

FEBRUARY 12: MISSION STATEMENT

What kind of life do you and your fiancé want to live? How would you describe your relationship? What drives your relationship? Set some time aside for you both to discuss this then create a mission statement for your relationship. Think about how you want to live through your entire life together. Think beyond your wedding day.

FEBRUARY 13: TIME TO MEDITATE

Spend some time meditating with your partner. Some benefits from meditating together include relaxation, increased connection/bonding, increased intimacy and overall health. It might be a bit challenging at first, but you should definitely try it more than once. Do what works for you and your fiancé. You can use guided audio meditations, meditation videos or other practices.

FEBRUARY 14: VALUED ITEMS (HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!)

In the past for Valentine’s Day, you have given each other gifts including flowers, candy, clothing, you have gone to dinner, you decided to not do anything at all and the list could probably go on and on. Do you want to do something different for Valentine’s Day this year? Gather your 3 most valued items that you own or precious memories, then sit down with your partner and your favorite beverage or meal and reveal the items/stories and the reason or story of their value to you. Why is it valuable or sentimental? Take turns sharing. I bet you haven’t done that before!

FEBRUARY 15: JUST RELAX

Most people have today off due to President’s Day. Why not spend the day resting and lounging together? Enjoy a nice breakfast in bed. You deserve it! This is the perfect reason to eat in bed, feed each other chocolate covered strawberries and wear pajamas all day. Right?!

FEBRUARY 16: STORY TIME

What's your relationship story? Have you ever told anyone? Take some time to write down your relationship story together. Do you have similar memories of how you met? Do you have a favorite part of the story? You might end up with a beautiful piece that you can put in a picture frame.

FEBRUARY 17: PDA TIME

Some people are very uncomfortable with PDA (Public Displays of Affection) and others go wild. Discuss the level of PDA that you and your fiancé are comfortable with and do it in a public place of your choice. Maybe your favorite restaurant, while you are out for a walk or wherever. Be you, be together, show you are in love and do it in public! Give your partner a significant amount of PDA they deserve. Try your best to test your limits a little if you are a bit hesitant. Have fun!

FEBRUARY 18: GAME NIGHT

Get the cards, boards or your phone out…..It’s Game Night? What’s your favorite game? Don’t have one, not to worry. You have tons of options….just the 2 of you, or a virtual games night with friends and family or a couples only game night. Or join a local virtual game night in your area through Eventbrite. There are tons of games you can get from the Android or Apple stores. Just have fun! And remember, It’s Just A Game!

FEBRUARY 19: PROJECT TIME

Do you have a project in mind that you have been wanting to complete for quite some time at your home? Now’s the time! Spend some time completing a project with your fiancé. Together you can organize and clean a room/space in your home, change up the décor (bedding, curtains, pillows, etc.) in your bedroom, or complete any other task on your list. Don’t forget to donate all the items you no longer use.

FEBRUARY 20: FAVORITE MEMORIES IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP

How long have you been in your relationship? I bet you have tons of stories and memories with your fiancé. Some are funny, others are sweet and romantic or there are even a few tear jerkers. Create a list of your top 5 favorite memories from your relationship with your fiancé. Take turns sharing memories and the details with each other. You could even include reasons why you love each other. Sometimes we need these reminders to refresh our relationships.

FEBRUARY 21: SUNDAY BRUNCH

Do you have a favorite restaurant that offers Sunday Brunch? Take advantage of Sunday Brunch at home. You can also get a head start on determining your choice for a caterer for your wedding. Order a takeout or pre-packaged meal from the caterer or restaurant.

FEBRUARY 22: EXERCISE

Do you enjoy working out? Have you worked out with your fiancé? Take a lap around the block, workout at home or take a hike on a trail. Just get moving.

FEBRUARY 23: DANCE FEVER

Can’t wait until your reception to dance the night away? You can learn a new dance from TikTok/Reels or take a dance class. You can get a head start on practicing for your First Dance as a couple.

FEBRUARY 24: FACIALS & MORE

Self-care is so important and another great way to do a little self-care is with a facial or bubble bath. There are benefits for both men and women to get facials, but if your guy is just not that into it, no worries, schedule some facial time with your bridesmaids, your mother, sisters or in-laws. There are quite a few products available that you can use at home too!

FEBRUARY 25: WRITE A LOVE POEM

Have you ever written a poem for your partner? Not yet? Perfect timing! Now is a great time to write a poem for each other. Take turns sharing your poems. You can include the reasons why you love them or how they make you feel. This would also be great practice for when you start to write your vows for your wedding day.

FEBRUARY 26: I TRUST YOU

We often need to remind our partners that we trust them with our feelings and emotions. They are the ones that understand us best right? Since they might only be able to guesstimate how we feel, it is a great idea to share your feelings with your partner daily. Spend some time together and share your joys and fears about yourself, your relationship or your future together. It might be scary, but who better to share your joys and fears with than the love of your life!

Art Time

FEBRUARY 27: ART NIGHT

Get creative! Show each other your artsy side. There are tons of options for you to consider and you don’t have to be an artist or expert. Canvas or glass painting classes that are led by instructors are really popular right now. You can do it as a couple or as a group. Don’t forget to display that beautiful work of art you created!

FEBRUARY 28: DATE NIGHT LIST

This 28 days of love blog has come to it’s last day, but your love is growing ever so beautifully! Today, take this time to create a list (hopefully longer) of activities you would like to do as a couple for the next month or even the next year! Make time for each other. But don’t forget to include your family, friends and wedding party on some of the activities!!
